The companies Kyriakos Skouras Commercial – Touristic S.A. and King Minos Corinthia Monop S.A. – Hotel Enterprises made donations for a public benefit.
In detail, the municipality of Corinthia accepted the concession, free of charge and for a period of 20 years, to the municipality of Corinthia of the use of a plot of land owned by the company Kyriakos Skouras Commercial – Touristic S.A., which is located in the “LAKA BI KATOU” location of the land district of the Community of Sofiko, with an area of 2,366.09 sq m. within which there is a ground-floor building, with a steel structure and roof, with a coverage area of 239.20 sq.m., for the purpose of housing the Municipality’s Environmental Services and the installation, operation and housing of the Sofiko Fire Brigade.
For its part, the municipality of Loutraki – Perachora – Agios Theodoroi accepted a donation from the company King Minos Corinthia Mon/pi S.A. – Hotel Enterprises for the conversion of the side road (Poseidonos Street) located next to the ISLA BROWN hotel into a pedestrian street. The project will be implemented at the company’s expense based on an approved study and under the exclusive supervision of the Municipality’s Technical Services Directorate.
Poseidonos Street is perpendicular to the Old National Road Athens-Corinth that passes through Agios Theodoroi. It connects P.E.O.A.K. with the coastal Poseidonos Street and is the last street located within the city plan in its Eastern part and adjoins the ISLA BROWN hotel owned by King Minos Corinthia Hotels S.A. – Hotel Enterprises.
Poseidonos Street during the summer months receives a large load of pedestrians due to its location and cars parked illegally. At the present time it is paved without sidewalks and with scattered trees on its Western side. Due to the wear and tear it has suffered over time, the lack of maintenance and the various interventions that have been made from time to time for public utility projects, it presents an image of wear and tear and not maintained street and certainly not a pedestrian street.
