Announcement of student admission to the Guide Schools of Athens, Thessaloniki and Rhodes

The announcement of student admission to the Guide Schools of Athens, Thessaloniki and Rhodes of the Ministry of Tourism has been issued for the academic period 2025-2027, as announced by the ministry.

The number of student admission positions at the Guide School of Rhodes is 26.

Candidates, in order to participate in the selection process, submit an application from 18.08.2025 until 05.09.2025.

General information about the Ministry of Tourism Guide Schools:

The Ministry of Tourism Guide Schools are post-secondary vocational schools lasting two (2) academic years. Attendance is free and mandatory for the entire educational program. Classes are held daily from Monday to Friday (from 08.00 am to 15.20 pm).
Graduates of the Ministry of Tourism Guide Schools are granted a Certificate of Legal Requirements for practicing the profession of guide throughout the Greek territory.
The advertised positions for admission of students to the Ministry of Tourism’s Tour Guide Schools are covered at a rate of 45% by graduates of General or Vocational High School, at a rate of 45% by graduates of tertiary education and at a rate of 10% by graduates of the Higher Schools of Tourism Education (ASTE) of the Ministry of Tourism.
The selection of candidates is carried out following a points system.
Candidates may be: a) Greek citizens or citizens of member states of the European Union and meet all the conditions of the announcement., b) Foreign citizens of countries outside the European Union, as long as they legally reside in the country and meet all the conditions of the announcement.
All candidates, regardless of their academic qualifications, must have certified knowledge of at least two (2) foreign languages, in addition to Greek, of which the first must be at an excellent level of C2/C2 and the second at least at a very good level of C1/C1. If both languages ​​are at an excellent level of C2/C2, points are awarded accordingly. Knowledge of foreign languages ​​is proven in accordance with the provisions of the ASEP Language Learning Annex, as in force on the date of issue of this document. Any other foreign language, in addition to the two (2) foreign languages ​​of entry, is awarded points only at a level of C2/C2.
