Greek police campaign for visitors: ‘Stay safe in the city of Athens’

The Attica General Police Directorate on Thursday set a pavilion at the Athens Acropolis archaeological site providing information to foreign visitors for a safe stay while in city and surrounding areas.

This is part of a Hellenic Police campaign entitled “Stay Safe in the City of Athens.” It aims at offerring general information and safety tips to foreign visitors so that they avoid any incidents that could make their stay in the capital unpleasant.

As part of the campaign, police officers are distributing English-language pamphlets with useful information and safe tour directions to tourists.

The stand was attended by Greek Public Order General Secretary Dimitrios Anagnostakis, as well as Hellenic Police chief, Lieutenant-General Konstantinos Tsouvalas.
