Viral load in northern Greek city of Thessaloniki wastewater tending to rise

The viral load in the wastewater of Thessaloniki is tending to rise day by day, based on measurements taken by the Sewage Epidemiology Team of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) with EYATH, in collaboration with the Region of Central Macedonia and in the framework of the National Public Health Organisation (NPHO) network, ANA reports.

Specifically, the average value of the two most recent measurements, on Monday, March 1, and Tuesday, March 2, is rose by 10 pct compared to the average value of the two immediately preceding measurements, ie Friday, February 26, and Sunday, February 28. Comparing the measurements from Monday and Tuesday to the corresponding measurements on Monday, February 22, and Tuesday, February 23, the average price is increased by 50 pct, giving a clearer picture of the gradual upward trend.
