The Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) has acquired a new passenger disembarkation platform for emergency circumstances, greekcitytimes.com reports.
The new platform can be used safely on ships of different sizes mooring at the bustling port.
According to the company announcement, the project was executed under the supervision of an independent inspection and certification body. All the prescribed design and construction standards were observed, aiming at upgrading PPA’s areas of responsibility.
The platform improves the operational capacity of the port to cope with emergencies.
