The Thessaloniki Tourism Organization (TTO) participated with a comprehensive exhibition and television presence in 3 parallel International Exhibitions between February 19 and 23. Specifically, it participated in the exhibitions in Bucharest “TTR 2025”, in Munich “f.re.e 2025” and in Belgrade “SAJAM TURIZMA”.
- At the International Tourism Fair of Romania “TTR 2025” (20-23.2.2025), meetings were held with Romanian travel agents, influencers, bloggers, and tourism journalists, who expressed their enthusiasm and interest in Thessaloniki, thanks to the diverse tourist, cultural, museum and gastronomic experiences that the city offers, as well as the easier road access, thanks to the activation of the Schengen Treaty.
- The participation of the OTTH in the largest travel and leisure fair in Bavaria, “f.re.e” (Munich, 19-23.2.2025) fed back the already positive opinion of the German public about the destination. Over 120,000 people visited the fair, giving the opportunity to promote Thessaloniki to the Bavarian public, who love leisure travel. Visitors expressed particular interest in both the cultural wealth of the city and alternative forms of tourism. Professional meetings were held with tour operators, and promotions were made on television channels (SonnenKlar.tv, etc.).
- Finally, the participation of the OTTH in the 46th International Tourism Fair SAJAM TURIZMA (Belgrade, 20-23.2.2025), which welcomed over 50,000 visitors, underlines the Organization’s strategy of extroversion towards the Balkan markets, which are recording increasingly greater economic power and therefore tourist interest, recognizing Thessaloniki as the most attractive and nearby city break destination, due to its easy access.
The interest of the visitors, combined with the important meetings held at the three fairs, shows the potential that Thessaloniki has to attract tourists and tourism professionals from all over the world.
The actions were carried out with the support of the Professional Chamber of Thessaloniki and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thessaloniki.
