Chania: The next actions of the “Tourism Partnership”

With the central theme “7 Years of Tourism Partnership for Chania”, the official presentation event of the project and future actions of the “Tourism Partnership for Chania” will take place on Monday.

The event aims to highlight the development and results of a strategic alliance that, for seven years, has been uniting public and private entities with a common vision: the establishment of the Prefecture of Chania as one of the leading quality tourist destinations in the Mediterranean.

The “Tourism Partnership for Chania” is a model of cooperation, as it brings together the support of the Association of Hoteliers of Chania Prefecture, Fraport Greece, Aegean Airlines, Eurobank, the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT), and Marketing Greece. Its main objective is the unified and targeted promotion of Chania in international markets, with actions that focus on extending the tourist season, strengthening connectivity and highlighting the authentic identity of the place.

During the event, the following will be presented:

  • the results of recent years from the implementation of the promotion strategy,
  • the new target markets and digital campaigns that are being implemented,
  • examples of synergies between hotels, airlines, and local businesses,
  • as well as the contribution of the Partnership to improving the image and attractiveness of the destination.

The event is expected to see the participation of representatives of the tourism industry, local government bodies, SMEs and entrepreneurs, while presentations will be made by high-ranking executives of the organizations and partners involved.

The “Chania Tourism Partnership” has been an important example of an innovative approach to Greek tourism, strengthening the Chania brand internationally and emphasizing sustainable development, quality visitor experience, and meaningful local participation.
