The Thessaloniki Tourism Organization participated in the International Tourism Exhibition IFTM TOP RESA 2025, in collaboration with the Region of Central Macedonia, which took place in Paris from 23 to 25 September 2025.
This is one of the most important tourism events in France and Europe, which attracts a large number of exhibitors, destinations and professionals in the sector every year.
This year’s event once again confirmed its international character and size, bringing together thousands of professionals and facilitating tens of thousands of business contacts. In this context, the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization held a series of meetings with representatives of the French market and other countries, exploring new possibilities for cooperation and promotion of the city in targeted tourism networks.
During its presentation, the Organization highlighted the overall tourism identity of Thessaloniki, focusing on culture and creativity as well as urban experiences, gastronomy, hospitality infrastructure and conference tourism. Among the topics presented, the cultural character of the city stood out in particular, attracting the interest of tourism professionals and media representatives. The cultural infrastructure, vibrant artistic activity and modern events that enhance the image of Thessaloniki as a center of culture and creativity were presented.
At the same time, emphasis was placed on the interconnection of culture with the experiences of the modern urban landscape, highlighting elements that enhance the international appeal of Thessaloniki beyond the limits of the French market. The city is presented as a destination that combines historical depth, contemporary artistic creation, gastronomic tradition and multi-layered experiences, addressing visitors from different cultural and geographical environments.
The participation of the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization in IFTM TOP RESA 2025 was an important step towards strengthening international extroversion, strengthening the city’s position in a competitive environment and confirming its strategic orientation towards integrated and sustainable tourism development, with culture functioning as a catalyst for promotion and progress.
