Tourism enterprises in Greece and the Cycladic Art Museum won, among other organizations, gold and silver awards in the Social Media Awards 2015, for their presence in social media.
The awards were won by the Daskalantonaki-Grecotel Group, Travelplanet24, Celestyal Cruises and YES! Hotels.
More than 700 business executives met Thursday, November 19 in THE BOX in Gazi, where the awards ceremony took place.
Social Media Awards for the third consecutive year reviewed, highlighted and rewarded the most innovative, modern, creative and effective actions in social media for brands and agencies.
All Social Media Awards participations were evaluated by an international jury composed of global scope professionals and the event was organized by Marketing Week magazine of Boussias Communications.
Travelplanet24 received an award in the category In-house Client Social Media Team, the Celestyal Cruises was handed out the bronze award in the category Best Use of Social Media Company brand as regards class Travel / Recreation and YES! Hotels, also won the bronze award in the category Other Media Social Networking (Instagram – LinkedIn – Google +).
Moreover, Interweave company, which designed and implemented Grecotel’s management strategy and interaction in twitter, won a Gold Award for the “Most Effective Use of Twitter to promote a brand».
Aiming at cultivating relationships with visitors and potential visitors of hotels and promote the central message of the brand, Grecotel and Interweave, over a period of 12 months achieved:
• 1830% increase in average monthly engagements,
• 112% organic increase of followers,
• average 24.500 impressions per month, and
• numerous “personal” relationships with visitors and potential guests
Interweave Account Director Ms. Maro Kalogeri and Grecotel Marketing Manager Ms. Penny Xypolia received the Award for Interweave.
The Social Media Awards were organized for a third consecutive year to evaluate, highlight and reward the most innovative and effective actions in Social Media by Greek brands, through renewed category sections like: Best Use of Social Media Industry, Best Use of Social Media for a Consumer Brand, Best use of Social Media for PR, Content, Mobile, Integration & Innovation, Facebook, Twitter etc.
