A small and relatively unknown company from Karditsa, Greece is claiming all the quality and taste awards at international water competitions, according to usa.greekreporter.com
Seven hundred waters from all over the world competed in the 26th annual Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting in West Virginia. The first prize for the best bottled water category for 2016, won the natural mineral water “Theony” from Karditsa.
Giannis Lelis, the General Manager of AHB Group — the company that bottles the water — said that “Theony” is the most recent water that has made it in five international competitions. The water was named after the homonym fairy, who according to the myth, protected the fountain in Agrafa mountains.
The bottling company — which was a 4 million euro investment — is the most recent company created in Greece, and was established in April 2013 and was a life dream of Greek-American businessman Vasilis Tselios.
