Greek-Israeli stamps mark quarter century of friendship

Greece and Israel have jointly issued postage stamps to celebrate 25 years of diplomatic relations.

The stamps were presented at Greece’s Old Parliament building in downtown Athens at an event on Tuesday organized by Hellenic Post (ELTA) and the Israeli Embassy.

“It is another example of the Greek-Israeli friendship, reflecting the historical ties, the multifaceted cooperation and the cultural affinity of the two countries,” said Israeli Ambassador Irit Ben-Aba.
