The National Archaeological Museum of Athens will offer several activities for adults and children over the Christmas and New Year holidays, with a recital celebrating the holidays on December 29, ANA reports:
The program will feature a Christmas concert with violin, cello and flute (Friday, Dec. 29, 13:00 at Room of the Altar). Works of Vivaldi, Haydn, Bach and Piazzola will be performed and the concert is free with entrance ticket to the museum.
Furthermore, several workshops will be offered for children, including reconstructions of ancient games, an opportunity to touch ancient toys and make their own, and listening and handling ancient musical organs.
Adults will also have the opportunity to visit the exhibit on the Roman Emperor Hadrian and his relationship to Athens, and discuss with archaeologists about his era (Thursday, Jan. 4, 12:00).
