For the third consecutive year, the Athens & Epidaurus festival holds creative workshops for children during the performances on Fridays and Saturdays at Xenia Epidavros (Costume Museum) next to the Ancient Theater.
Parents and guardians can watch the performances, while children are creatively engaged. The themes of the theatre, movement, music and art workshops will be inspired by the day’s theatre performance and will be divided in categories shaped according to children’s age and knowledge, so that the workshop can function as a communication bridge, where guardians and children can afterwards share and discuss, through their own individual filter, the themes of the day’s performance.
The artistic and educational workshop is open to children from 4 to 12 years of age and runs from 20:00 until the end of the performance. The program is co-ordinated by a group of veteran theatrical educators and music teachers.
Dates et performances:
- 10 & 11 August: Aristophanes’ « Frogs»
- 17 & 18 August: Sophocles’ “Oedipus at Colonus”
Cost for each workshop: 5 euros
