The Greek women’s network in film and television WIFT, in cooperation with the Municipality of Athens, presents the “Women & Politics” film festival. It is a two-day event that features screenings and debates on the subject, which will take place on November 2nd and 3rd at the Greek Film Archive.
“Women remain a minority in political life, yet they try to influence politics in any way they can and participate in decision-making on equal terms. The film festival highlights the efforts of women in different countries to use whatever power they have, inside and outside the political system, to protect their rights or improve the situation of women around the world. The festival also highlights the challenges faced by women who want to be active in politics”, note the festival’s organizers.
The documentaries and the fiction films that will be screened, originate from Greece, Spain, Belgium, France, Canada and the USA.
