The Deputy Shipping Ministry of Cyprus was given the green light by the Cabinet to prepare a study on the maritime link between Cyprus and Greece, the Deputy Minister Natasa Pilides has announced.
Speaking to the press after the Cabinet meeting on Thursday, Pilides said that the sea connection between the two countries is considered a positive development, especially for those passengers who cannot fly, and also to further increase Cyprus` tourism industry.
She added that the study will assess ways to fund the connection and whether Cyprus can file for funding from the European Commission.
