“Year by year, the Philoxenia and Hotelia exhibitions are upgraded,” TIF-Helexpo president Tassos Tzikas noted late on Thursday at the presentation of the 34th International Philoxenia Tourism Fair and the Hotelia International Hotel Equipment Exhibition.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura on Friday.
Tzikas said in a press conference that the two fairs are a reference point for the tourism and hotel industries. Especially this year, Philoxenia seems to be breaking every former record and is expecting visitors from 47 countries. Honored areas of this year’s event are the Region of Western Greece and Lesvos.
On his part, the managing director of TIF-Helexpo, Kyriakos Pozrikidis, pointed out that more than 110 business visitors are invited to the hosted buyers programme, with 3,500 meetings scheduled. Another 85 hosted buyers will visit Hotelia.
