The business opportunities offered in Nigeria were presented at an event held in the framework of a business mission held by Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) in cooperation with Athens Chamber of Commerce (EVEA), the Greek-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Technology and Greek Exporters Association (SEVE) with the support of the Foreign Ministry and Nigeria’s Embassy to Greece.
As it was noted, Nigeria is the most populated country and the largest economy in Africa. It also has significant natural resources as oil, natural gas and minerals. Its economy is mostly based on the primary sector and in the last years it has posted substantial growth in the services and processing sector. The financial incentives and the favourable tax regime adopted multiply the benefits which can occur from the strategic access of Greek enterprises via agreements with local partners.
In the Greek mission participated 16 Greek firms from the construction, energy, food, building materials, pharmaceutical and services sector.
