The third and last supermoon of 2021 will take place on Thursday June 24

The third and last supermoon of 2021 will take place on Thursday night, June 24, ANA reports.
The Earth-Moon distance ranges from 406,712 kilometers to 356,445 kilometers. When the full moon occurs near the orbit, then it is considered a super-moon, or super-full moon. These terms are not astronomical but invented by astrologer Richard Nolle in 1979, according to the US space agency (NASA).
On average, supermoons appear about 7 pct bigger and about 15 pct brighter than a typical full moon.
