Fr. Anastasios Pourakis was the honoree at the 96th annual gala of the community of Saint Demetrios Cathedral in Astoria, NY. The event was attended by a large number of community members and members of the Parish Council. Fr. Pourakis was honored for his longstanding contributions to Saint Demetrios, especially its important youth programs. Greetings and support for the historic community which is undergoing a period of reorganization were conveyed on behalf of Archbishop Elpidophoros by Fr. Elias Villis.
