The events on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the restoration of Democracy in Greece started on Sunday in the presence of Hellenic President of Republic Katerina Sakellaropolou, Athens mayor Haris Doukas, and a large number of citizens at the garden of the Presidential Mansion, ANA reports.
Sakellaropoulou and the attendees had the opportunity to tour a special exhibition, with 60 works by more than 12 well-known cartoonists, who captured with their pens, in the newspapers of the time, the first year of the post-dictatorship period, from July 1974 until August 1975.
