37th Kalamaria Flower Show with a sea breeze in Thessaloniki

From April 23 to May 4, the 37th Kalamaria Flower Show is scheduled to take place on Aretsos Beach in Kalamaria.

For over three decades, the Flower Show has been bringing spring to Kalamaria, while the combination of the colors and aromas of nature with the breath of the sea is unique and makes it one of the most special flower shows in the country.

Since 1987, when it was first organized, the Kalamaria Flower Show has been an institution that highlights the best that nature has to offer and at the same time our place, Kalamaria and its beauties.

During the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to wander through an amazing environment, created by professional flower growers and nurserymen, full of hundreds of species of flowers, plants, herbs and spices, each of which contributes with its colors and fragrances to the creation of a unique atmosphere.

Among other things, the exhibitors will help visitors learn about the benefits of floriculture and will exchange experiences and knowledge about each type of plant while offering ideas for enriching and shaping their spaces, whether they are balconies and gardens or indoor spaces that can accommodate the corresponding plants and flowers.

In addition, the parallel artistic events and the operation of the exhibition, over the years, have resulted in the institution evolving into an important ecological and cultural event for the region, which essentially marks the start of summer activities on the Aretsou coast.

In this year’s event, the Municipal – Commercial – Tourist Enterprise of Kalamaria, D.E.T.E.K. S.A., which organizes the Floriculture Exhibition, aims for a purely floriculture event, framed by a daily cultural program as well as other activities for young and old in collaboration with clubs, associations, and NGOs. It is noted that the opening and closing of the exhibition will be framed by concerts and a traditional feast, while entry to the exhibition is free for the public.
