The Venetian Port of Chania is once again becoming a meeting point for sustainable tourism, hosting the 3rd Alternative Tourism Festival from 16 to 18 May 2025, at Katehaki Square.
The event, which bears the seal of the Municipality of Chania, gives a platform to professionals and organizations active in special and alternative forms of tourism – from agrotourism and hiking to gastronomic experiences and cultural routes.
The Municipality of Platanias will also actively participate in this year’s festival, inviting professionals from the area to showcase their services and products through its booth.
Participation is free, while physical presence is not necessary – interested parties can represent themselves through printed and/or audiovisual material, which will be displayed at the Municipality’s booth.
The festival is a dynamic opportunity to highlight local identity and connect with an audience that seeks meaningful, experiential travel experiences.
