With a double top spot in the preferences of international travelers, Greece and Santorini won important awards at the 13th annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards of the American magazine Global Traveler.
Greece emerged for the fourth consecutive year as the leading international destination with the best historical attractions, while Santorini swept the title of Best Island in Europe for the 12th consecutive year, confirming the global appeal of its authentic beauty and unique identity.
The award ceremony took place on May 22, 2025, at the InterContinental Hotel in Miami, with the Head of the GNTO USA Office, Konstantinos Harokopos, receiving the awards on behalf of our country.
These awards confirm Greece’s strong presence on the international tourism map and the enduring trust shown by travelers worldwide, as emphasized during the award ceremony.
