From August 7 to 13, Samos is transforming into an international cultural meeting point, as it plans to host the Samos Young Artists Festival 2025. This is a festival that has now become established on the European cultural map, bringing together distinguished young musicians from all over the world to the island every summer.
This year’s event takes place, as every year, at the magnificent Ancient Theatre of Pythagorion, a venue that combines unparalleled acoustics with historical depth and aesthetic grandeur. The choice of this particular venue is not accidental: it essentially enhances the overall experience of the spectators and underlines the bond of the festival with the cultural heritage of Samos.
The festival is organized by the Schwarz Foundation, an organization with a stable and multidimensional presence in the cultural events of the Aegean. With artistic excellence, intercultural exchange and the promotion of new talents as its main axes, this year’s event is under the artistic direction of cellist Timotheus Gavriilidis-Petrin and pianist Masha Ilyasov. The two renowned musicians, with international awards and presence on important music stages, guarantee a program of high standards.
