A significant initiative is underway in Corfu with the collaboration of the Corfu Chamber of Commerce, the Corfu Hoteliers Association, the Corfu Travel Agents Association, the Corfu Tourist Accommodation Entrepreneurs Federation and the Ionian Federation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship.
By signing a Memorandum, the entities will collaborate to jointly create and operate a digital platform with the aim of recording and promoting local events (cultural, religious, musical, theatrical, sporting, traditional, etc.), informing the public and visitors to Corfu about the events of the region and maintaining a digital archive with accompanying photographic material and a brief description of each event, in Greek and English.
The website will operate under the name CORFU EVENTS 365.
In detail, the entities are committed to collecting and recording the data of all clubs, organizations and associations that organize events in their area of responsibility, and to promptly inform the website administrator with the necessary information for each event, such as dates, locations, descriptions, and photographic material.
They will also appoint a contact person for communication with the website administrator and the timely sending of the necessary information regarding the events. At the same time, they will issue a single Event Submission Guide, which will provide clear instructions to clubs, organizations and institutions for the correct and timely submission of event data to the platform administrator, ensuring the correct registration process and the ongoing updating of information. Upon completion of the website, supervision, technical management, content upgrades and regular maintenance will be assigned to the Corfu Chamber.
In order to achieve the agreement, the contribution of the Corfu Chamber and the Ionian Federation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship, led by their President, Mr. Konstantinos Mouzakitis, from the Corfu Hoteliers Association, led by its President, Mr. Charalambos Voulgaris, from the Corfu Travel Agents Association, led by its President, Mr. Dimitris Diavatis and the Corfu Tourist Accommodation Entrepreneurs Federation, led by its President, Mrs. Periklis Katsaros, is important.
