In an evening filled with elegance, music, and energy, the official opening of George, The Lobby Bar, the newest addition to the historic King George Hotel, took place. Media representatives, professionals from the business and arts sectors, friends, and hotel partners had the opportunity to experience the new venue firsthand, which aims to become a favorite meeting point for every moment of the day. From 6:00 PM until late at night, the event turned into an atmospheric party, with DJ Haris Panou setting the rhythm and striking performers in elaborate costumes adding a theatrical, cosmopolitan flair to the evening.
Ideally located in the hotel’s lobby, with access from an independent entrance, George is the perfect spot in the heart of the city for a morning espresso, a midday meeting, or an after-work cocktail. The aesthetic curation by the internationally acclaimed architectural firm Goddard Littlefair blends neoclassical luxury with contemporary comfort, while selected works of Contemporary Greek Art are harmoniously integrated into the space, creating an elegant environment that reflects the city’s pulse from morning to night.
During the evening, guests enjoyed signature cocktails and premium spirits crafted by George’s talented bartenders, alongside creative bites such as lobster mac & cheese, beef tartare éclair, and shrimp bao — offering a first taste of the bar’s fine drinking experience.
George’s menu, curated by Michelin-starred chefs Asterios Koustoudis and Nikos Leivadias, evolves throughout the day with offerings for breakfast, brunch, and light lunch, emphasizing Greek ingredients, handmade pastries, and a sustainable zero-waste philosophy.

Continuing this energy, George, The Lobby Bar introduces DJ Thursdays: every Thursday, a special DJ party will bring the city center to life, with the first event taking place on December 4 at 6:00 PM featuring DJ Haris Panou.
