A very special exhibition is hosted by the Athens International Airport in collaboration with the Directorate of Secondary Education of East Attica of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports.
Using the expressive medium of comics, the exhibition presents the works of students who were recognized in the Student Competition with the theme Safe to the Destination, Imagination in Art, which aimed to raise awareness among the student community on road safety issues. This Competition was both a celebration of student creativity and a message to society: that the new generation can, through art, emerge as an active agent of change and responsibility.
Through artistic expression, contrasts of colors, intensity, and movement, the students highlight real everyday attitudes and behaviors, conveying the message in a direct and captivating way. The childrens knowledge meets imagination, and using a familiar artistic form, their creations promote responsible road behavior, fostering empathy, respect for rules, and understanding of the value of human life.
Until January 12, 2026, passengers and visitors at the airport will have the opportunity to see, through the eyes of students, how artand particularly a creative medium like comicscan become a teaching tool for road safety, conveying clear messages about safety on the road, encouraging responsible thinking, and contributing substantially to cultivating awareness and prevention.
