The Planet Agents are arriving in the island of Crete. Together with the George & Aristea Mamidakis Foundation they will assign to the students of Agios Nikolaos elementary schools two top secret and really difficult missions for the protection of Earth!
Specifically, on Monday the 17th of October a selected team of the organization will disembark on the island to train more than 300 students of Agios Nikolaos 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th elementary schools.
On their first mission with the code name “Save the Planet from trash“, the fresh agents will receive 13 classified envelopes with vital information. Next, they will place 24 critical elements on the board of their classroom, they will solve mysteries, they will make experiments and at the end, they will build “superweapons” to save Earth from trash.
On their next assignment, “Reduce – Reuse – Recycle” the kids will be distributed in teams of agents. Their members will collect items that will help them to realize the magnitude of the problem and mostly to understand the factors that create it.
Through the triptych reduce– use again – recycle, the kids will experiment with the possible ways of facing the problem.
The Planet Agents is an environmental organization which was founded in 2009 and its aim is to create a sustainable future through Education and the action of children. All the educational programs of this organization are authorized by the Ministry of Education.
The G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation has the strong belief that the basic condition to change the human behavior towards environment, is the awakening of forthcoming generations. Thus, the Foundation supports this action, organizes events addressing children for the protection of the environment and plans visits with main purpose the acquaintance with the biodiversity of east Crete.
The president of the G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation, Gina Mamidakis stated: “The rapid and continuing degradation of the environment is an issue that particularly concerns us and it is our duty to work towards reinforcing knowledge and strengthening the love of citizens for it. The Planet Agents is another important project that will contribute to the raising of sensitive and awakened people who will act favorably to the planet we inhabit. “
