Natura 2000 award won by Callisto wildlife organisation in Greece

The Greek wildlife conservation group “Callisto”, which specialises in the protection of the country’s dwindling brown bear population, has received the Natura 2000 European award for the project LIFE ARCTOS KASTORIA, ANA reports.

Callisto’s project, which aims to promote conditions for living alongside wild bears, won the award in the category “Reconciling interests/perceptions” at the 2018 Natura 2000 Awards.
