Recent media reports in Greece indicate that wild boars have been roaming over the last few days in the posh Athenian suburb of Ekali, where they have been recorded by mobile phone cameras by inhabitants of the area.
As local Alpha television reported, a herd of 14 wild boar in the last month has “settled” in the northern suburbs of Athens and is making appearances in Ekali, especially early in the morning or late afternoon, looking for food.
The herd of the boar is estimated to have moved from Parnitha mountain and found shelter at the area of Narcissus, and efforts are being made to trap them and send them back again.
