Minister: €32 billion Climate Plan to cut energy costs for firms in Greece

The new National Plan for Energy and the Climate to 2030 focuses on reducing energy costs for families and businesses, Environment and Energy Minister Giorgos Stathakis said at a press conference on Tuesday, according to ANA.

The minister said that the agreement to the electric grid connection of Crete and the Peloponnese will be signed next week, and that the ministry was brokering the negotiations between the Public Power Corporation (PPC) and large clients to prevent a shutdown of the power supply.

The Plan is currently under public consultation and will be submitted to the Greek Parliament and the European Commission for approval.
