GAEC report: Electromagnetic fields in Greece within safety limits in 2018

The safety limits of the general public’s exposure to electromagnetic fields in 2018 in urban areas were not exceeded anywhere in the country, according to a report published Tuesday by the Greek Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC), ANA reports.

The Commission carried out local checks at 2,671 antennae stations nationwide, of which 97% were ex-officio while others were executed at the request of citizens or other authorities. About 87% of these checks concerned antenna stations for mobiles and the rest concerned radio, television and phone landline stations.
