Greece attains record coverage of power demand through green energy

Greek renewable energy sources (RES) achieved a double record on September 14, meeting the highest rate of demand both nationally and at the European level that day, according to Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE) data, ANA reports.

More specifically, RES (wind, solar) covered 51 pct of electric power demand on Sept. 14, a rate rising to 57 pct if large hydroelectric power plants are included.
