Injured humpback whale stranded on Edem beach in Greek suburb of Alimos (video)

The inhabitants of Alimos found themselves in front of an incredible spectacle, as they saw a small whale in the shallows. It is most likely a Zifios whale that lost its orientation, protothema.gr reports.

Apparently, it is quite injured. According to information, it had been in the shallows since yesterday, however, they had managed to push it in deeper waters again so that it could be released. Today, however, it came out in the shallows again.

There are several divers and a vet in the area to treat the little whale. Speaking to SKAI, the professor of Marine Biology, Dr. Koutsoubas said these dormitory animals bump into ship propellers. He noted that he appears to have been seriously injured and usually these cases do not end well. He added that the animal is not dangerous at all and is one of the protected species.
