The city of Kozani “is the workshop that will show us the difficulties and the opportunities that lie ahead during the phasing out of lignite,” announced German Ambassador to Greece Ernst Reichel on Wednesday, according to ANA.
The German diplomat was speaking at Kozani after his meeting with the city’s mayor Lazaros Maloutas, and his visit to Hellenic Petroleum’s(HELPE) photovoltaic park, which was constructed by the German company Juwi. The park was recently inaugurated by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
