The Greek parliament will have its lights turned off for one hour (8:30 pm to 9:30 pm) on Saturday as part of a global environmental event ‘Earth Hour’, which this year is dedicated to forest protection, ANA reports.
In a statement, parliament officials said that the event “is a symbolic act which reflects the common need to assume action against climate change and the destruction of the natural environment – a message that reminds us of the inestimable value of forests and the importance of protecting them.”
