The Canary Islands and one of the islands, La Palma, are presenting their new strategy as a sustainable tourism destination at a roadshow, which will take place in Germany in February.
The strategic realignment aims to attract those who love nature, those who seek personalized experiences and activities, as well as those who want to explore and get to know the Canary Islands away from the crowded tourist flows.
At the same time, the focus of the new policy is the peaceful everyday life of local residents.
“While many destinations struggle with overtourism, La Palma aims to become a model of quality tourism that prioritizes personalized and environmentally friendly experiences,” a statement said. This, it is stated, will not only contribute to attracting visitors but will also improve the quality of life on the island and protect its natural resources.
The roadshows will take place: on February 4 in Frankfurt, on February 5 in Düsseldorf, and on February 6 in Cologne. Participating travel agents will have the opportunity to taste the cuisine of the Canary Islands with local products and wines.
