Elafonisi Beach, in Crete, is among the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world, which, however, gathers the most complaints about the excessive number of visitors, to a degree that makes the stay uncomfortable.
This finding results from a study by Cloudwards, which is based on thousands of Tripadvisor reviews. The negative comments concern the crowding (for beach standards), the issue of cleanliness, the constant noise and the disappointingly long wait to serve basic needs of bathers.
