The model is based on the principle of fair charging according to the volume of waste produced by each business, with the aim of enhancing environmental awareness, reducing waste, and saving resources. This is a modern, sustainable practice that is already being successfully implemented in many European cities and is now taking its first steps in our country.

The implementation is carried out in collaboration with specialized bodies and is expected to constitute a good practice guide for the HORECA sector, strengthening the environmental responsibility of professionals and the more efficient management of their operations.

Finally, the Deputy Mayor for Cleanliness and Environment, Spyridon Katsaboxakis, signs the official announcement, emphasizing that the program constitutes an important step for the adoption of sustainable practices in the tourism sector and an example to be followed by other municipalities and professionals in the HORECA sector.
