Greek-American actress returns on ABC’s ‘Notorious’

Melina Kanakaredes will be back on your TV soon, this time in a recurring role as Dana Hartman on ABC’s “Notorious”.

The show is based on the real-life relationship between criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and “Larry King Live” executive producer Wendy Walker. “Notorious” is not afraid to explore controversial issues, most prominently the relationship between our current justice system and the media, and how each can influence and distort the other.

Kanakarides’ character Dana is smart and witty with a short fuse. Though she previous had a successful career in broadcasting, several scandals before the show altered her path in life drastically.

She is introduced on the show seven years after the scandals that disrupted her life.

Kanakaredes has signed on for a recurring role, meaning we are not yet sure for how long she will be on the show. However, after her long-running stint as Stella on the popular “CSI: NY” and before that on “Providence”, Kanakaredes has been guest starring in a series of shows, most recently “Extant”, so we aren’t too worried about her future on TV – it’s looking as strong as ever.
