Etihad Airways has appointed Dimitrios Karagkioules as General Manager Greece and Turkey.
He brings more than 20 years of commercial management experience gained at Etihad Airways, United and Delta Air Lines.
Karagkioules held sales and marketing roles in Europe and Asia. He joined Etihad in 2009, as General Manager Greece and in 2015, was appointed as General Manager Thailand.
As part of his new Athens-based role, he will take on the commercial responsibility for Greece and Turkey and lead the further development of the airline’s commercial strategy and growth of Etihad Airways’ relationships with its travel trade and corporate customers.
“Over the last seven years, he has acquired a wealth of experience and expertise both in Greece and Thailand. We are delighted that Dimitris will take up his new role to lead Etihad Airways’ commercial activities across the region as we look to expand our sales operations.” Daniel Barranger, Etihad Airways’ Senior Vice President Global Sales, said.
