Halkidiki is one of the most stable and growing tourist destinations in Greece, with a 10.5% increase in demand from its top 10 markets in 2024 compared to 2023. This conclusion comes from a Panadvert survey.
According to data analyzed from search engines, booking engines, advertising platforms, and almost 100,000 reviews from 1,200 hotels in 2023 and 2024, the search for accommodation in the region seems to start in January and peak in July, with the highest demand observed for August.
Families and couples dominate the demand
The analysis also shows that Halkidiki maintains stability in seasonality, visitor types, and the top markets that support it. Families and couples dominate demand, representing almost 80% of visitors, while Greeks make up almost 20% of all visitors choosing the destination for their holidays.
At the same time, the research also highlighted the top hospitality “players” in Halkidiki, which for 2024 were as follows:
