Air Serbia is pleased to announce the launch of direct flights between Belgrade and Toronto (Toronto Pearson International Airport – YYZ), starting on May 23, 2026. This route is one of the most important milestones in Air Serbia’s recent growth trajectory and is of great importance to passengers, tourism and business. Flights between Belgrade and Toronto will be operated twice weekly, every Wednesday and Saturday, with an Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Tickets will be available for sale from October 16, 2025.
“After the introduction of direct flights to New York and Chicago, Toronto is our third destination in North America. JAT operated its last flight to Toronto in May 1992. Today, after more than 30 years, we are proud to announce the resumption of direct flights between Belgrade and Toronto. This strategic step marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of our company and is a continuation of the economic, commercial and cultural development of Serbia. As Toronto is known as one of the most important destinations in the world, with a large Serbian diaspora, the importance of this direct connection goes beyond economic and commercial reasons. For years, the Serbian diaspora has been calling for the establishment of a direct air connection between Belgrade and Toronto, and I am particularly pleased that we were able to align our strategic plans with the needs of the market. This route connects not only two countries, but also two cultures and two communities, facilitating contact and improving opportunities for faster and easier communication. I am particularly pleased that it will make it easier for many passengers from Serbia and the wider region to visit their families and friends. Establishing a strong presence in the North American market realizes our vision of making Belgrade a transit hub connecting Europe with
North America. We will continue to develop our destination network and intercontinental presence in the future, to remain at the forefront of airlines in the region, making Serbia a desirable and more accessible destination for further investments and business opportunities,” said Ji?? Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.
Air Serbia will offer passengers good connections from Toronto, via Belgrade, to many cities in its network, such as: Athens, Budapest, Dubrovnik, Heraklion, Istanbul, Ljubljana, Bucharest, Prague, Sarajevo, Thessaloniki, Skopje, Sofia, Split, Podgorica, Tirana, Tivat, Vienna, Zagreb and Zurich.
