Ryanair: Jordan’s connectivity with Europe expanded – Over 300,000 seats to 18 destinations

Ryanair announced today a record winter schedule for Amman, offering more than 300,000 seats across 18 destinations and connecting Jordan with 12 European Union countries, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

The rapid restart of Ryanair’s full operational activities at Amman Airport reflects the pro-investment approach of the Jordanian government and the airport’s practical support, strengthening Jordan’s position as one of the most attractive and easily accessible tourist destinations in the Middle East.

Ryanair confirmed its commitment to boosting inbound tourism and economic growth by offering the lowest fares in Europe, enabling visitors to spend more on local hotels, restaurants, and services — directly supporting job creation and the growth of local businesses.

Ryanair also unveiled an ambitious investment plan for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which includes a 360% increase in annual passenger traffic, reaching 3 million seats, the operation of 50 direct connections between European cities and Jordan, the launch of new routes to Marka Airport (Amman), and the continuation of year-round flights to Aqaba.

Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson stated:
“Ryanair is delighted to announce the full restoration of our operations in Jordan from October, accompanied by a record-breaking winter schedule for Amman.

With 84 weekly flights across 18 routes to 12 European countries — including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, and Spain — Ryanair’s investment will ensure that Jordan remains a leading tourist destination this winter, offering enhanced connectivity, increased tourism, and economic growth, always with Europe’s lowest fares.”

“The rapid return of Ryanair to Jordan builds on a long-standing partnership with the Hashemite Kingdom, whose pro-growth strategy ensures that the country remains the top tourism destination in the Middle East.

We are also excited to unveil our new investment plan, which will increase Ryanair’s annual passenger traffic in Jordan to 3 million seats, offer 50 direct connections through Amman, Marka, and Aqaba airports, and contribute to job creation, tourism growth, and economic development.

We look forward to working with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to implement this ambitious plan and to introduce millions of European travelers to Jordan’s rich culture and unique history.”

Jordan’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Emad Hijazeen, stated:
“Today’s announcement of Ryanair’s 18 routes to Amman for the 2025/2026 winter season marks a highly significant milestone for Jordan’s aviation and tourism sectors.

This expansion not only strengthens Jordan’s position as a regional hub for tourism and investment but also plays a crucial role in supporting the national economy and creating new opportunities across the tourism value chain.

Our partnership with Ryanair, which began in 2018, has evolved into a model of successful collaboration, built on trust, resilience, and a shared vision for sustainable growth.”

Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, added:
“Since the start of our partnership in 2018, Ryanair has been a strategic tool for promoting Jordan as a competitive and easily accessible destination for European travelers.

Together, we have achieved remarkable results — welcoming more than one million visitors from across Europe, expanding source markets, and helping Jordan achieve record tourism arrivals during multiple seasons.

Beyond routes and capacity, the joint marketing and communication initiatives we have implemented since 2018 have played a decisive role in elevating Jordan’s global profile, showcasing it as a must-visit destination — whether for culture lovers, adventure seekers, or families.

These initiatives are carefully tailored to each market, with localized translations and targeted messaging, ensuring maximum effectiveness and resonance among diverse audiences across Europe.”
