Celestyal announced 2016 Themed Cruises program

Greek cruise line Celestyal Cruises announced its 2016 Themed Cruises Program that include more than 800 activities under three unique themes: Stories of Greek Culture and Heritage, Stories of Greek Summer Festivals and Stories of Greek Enogastronomy.

Sailing from March through to November, the Themed Cruises aim to bring guests on a distinctly Greek adventure, immersing them in the country’s culture, history and culinary scene. “In 2016, Celestyal Cruises goes deeper into the authentic Greek experience we give our passengers and proudly presents thematic cruises, which we believe contribute to the global promotion of Hellenism and Greek tourism,” said Kyriakos Anastassiadis, CEO of Celestyal Cruises. “We see again and again that our passengers who participate in our themed cruise program become the best ambassadors of Greece in their home countries!”

Stories of Greek Culture and Heritage

From March to May, passengers can enjoy the Stories of Greek Culture and Heritage itineraries. From enjoying bespoke theatrical performances, to attending cultural spectacles performed by the famous Lyceum Club of Greek Women, Minoan civilization to the ancient Olympics, passengers will be immersed in Hellenic culture.

Then, from June to August, the itinerary switches over to the Stories of Greek Summer Festivals. On the agenda during this leg of the Themed Cruises Program is plenty of traditional entertainment, festivals, Greek DJs and even a science fest. For those looking to walk a foodie’s path in Greece, plan to sail from September to November to experience the Stories of Greek Enogastronomy. Think: Greek wine, 40 Greek cheese, cooking classes and more.
