Greece may have all the natural advantages that rank it among the best cruise destinations in the world but it lags behind in comparison with other countries in terms of infrastructure” noted the president of the cruiseship owners union Theodoros Kontes to Athens-Maceonian News Agency on Sunday.
Kontes referred to insufficient port infrastructure, air services and excessive bureaucracy that impeding the growth of the cruise sector in Greece.
Kontes also said that “recently, Citizen Protection Ministry’s officials have held inspections to all the Greek islands due to the new rules for non-Schenghen passengers that must be applied as of January 1, 2021.
