Celestyal celebrated the launch of its second season in the Arabian Gulf by once again welcoming former Formula 1 driver, entrepreneur, author, and television presenter David Coulthard.
The event, held on December 7, was part of Celestyals special cruise Desert Days & Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. David Coulthard, returning to Celestyal after his appearance on the Desert Days & Qatar Grand Prix cruise on the Celestyal Journey in November 2024, took the stage alongside sports presenter and commentator Laura Winter. The two hosted a warm and revealing conversation about his driving career, the developments of this years Formula 1 season, and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, before answering guests questions and taking photos with them.
The cruise also included premium access to the Grand Prix, scheduled transfers to and from the circuit, and a private beach party on Sir Bani Yas island.
The trip to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix marked the beginning of the ships winter season. The Celestyal Journey will continue operating the seven-night Desert Days cruise for the remainder of the season, round-trip from Doha, with calls at Sir Bani Yas island, Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain, as well as two full days and an overnight stay in Dubai.
Celestyal Discovery will follow Celestyal Journey on December 12, 2025, launching the new Images of Arabia cruises of three, four, and seven nights, round-trip from its winter homeport in Abu Dhabi, with calls at Doha, Khasab, Dubai, Sir Bani Yas island, and inaugural calls at Ras Al Khaimah.

David Coulthard competed in Formula 1 from 1994 to 2008, winning 13 Grands Prix over 15 seasons, racing with Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull. In his later career as a television commentator, he worked for the BBC and Channel 4.
