It is easy to rent a car in Greece for German tourists, but it is rather expensive because the average cost of renting is higher than in other popular Mediterranean destinations such as Spain, Portugal and Cyprus.
This was recorded by research of the German Check 24 travel platform among the 20 destinations in the countries that accrued most of the bookings by German travelers through it.
From the platform’s data it appears that Greece is among the 6 most popular countries in car rental by German tourists, with the average price of 27.5 euros, ie the levels of Italy and Turkey. Lower prices are found in Spain, Portugal, Croatia and Cyprus. Car rental is more expensive, by contrast, inSwitzerland (70 euros) and Iceland (62 euros).
