Barclays and Wyndham renew co-branded credit card partnership

Barclays US Consumer Bank, a credit card and online banking company, has renewed its exclusive partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. As part of the renewal, the two companies will continue to offer the co-branded credit card program.

The partnership, which began in 2010, expands Barclays’ role as the sole issuer of Wyndham’s co-branded credit cards, including the Wyndham Rewards Earner® Plus, Wyndham Rewards Earner® and Wyndham Rewards Earner® Business cards.

These cards, tailored to the needs of frequent travelers, offer up to eight times the points on gas and stays at Wyndham hotels, as well as other rewards for specific categories. Cardholders also benefit from Wyndham Rewards membership upgrades, booking discounts and anniversary bonuses.

The company has maintained dividend payments for 18 consecutive years, with a current dividend yield of 3.63%. Wyndham Rewards, known for its simplicity and value, allows members to earn a minimum of 1,000 points per eligible stay and redeem points for free nights at a low threshold.

Kurt Albert, treasurer and head of financial partnerships and programming for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, emphasized the company’s commitment to driving member engagement through its co-branded cards. Doug Villone, head of cards and partnerships at Barclays US Consumer Bank, highlighted the success of the decade-long partnership in driving customer loyalty and expressed excitement for future growth.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, listed on the New York Stock Exchange as WH, is recognized as the world’s largest hotel franchising company by number of properties, with approximately 9,200 hotels in more than 95 countries.
