The official opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Athens Syggrou Avenue hotel, the first hotel of this chain in Greece, took place on Wednesday, May 14, with the participation of distinguished guests. The event was hosted at the rooftop bar-restaurant Rodopou & Beyond, with an impressive view of the Acropolis, offering a unique hospitality experience to those present.
The hotel is managed by LUX&EASY (Nova Constructions S.A.), an official franchisee of Hilton in Greece. In his greeting, the company’s CEO, Mr. Panos Livadas, referred to the strategic importance of the collaboration with Hilton and the momentum that is developing on the Greek tourist map. As he emphasized, “the rapid growth of Hilton in our country confirms Greece’s position as a leading destination in global tourism.”

The inauguration was honored with the presence of government representatives, including the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Olga Kefalogianni, the Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Mr. Makis Voridis, as well as other deputy ministers and members of parliament. Also present were the Mayor of Kallithea, Mr. Costas Askounis, as well as the businessman, Mr. Manolis Melakis, who, together with LUX&EASY, is proceeding with the development of two more Hilton hotels in Chania and Heraklion.

The event brought together more than 350 tourism professionals and media representatives. Guests had the opportunity to tour the hotel, taste the Chef’s culinary creations, and enjoy live jazz music.
The Hilton Garden Inn Athens Syggrou Avenue features 129 rooms and suites with a contemporary aesthetic and a high level of comfort. Its amenities include a rooftop pool, a gym, and three meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 170 people, making it ideal for business events and conferences.
During their recent visit to Athens, in February, Hilton President and CEO Chris Nassetta and Vice President Europe David Kelly announced new expansion plans for the company in Greece, confirming the strategic importance of our country for the global hotel giant.
